Nachi Robotic Systems Inc. new high-speed robot synchronized vision function reduces cycle times and improves productivity in vision guided robot applications. Traditional robot vision guidance, with arm-mounted cameras, requires the robot to stop while the vision system acquires images and calculates robot offsets. The Nachi “Synchrovision” function eliminates the need to stop the robots’ motion. Using Nachi integrated vision hardware with “Synchrovision” software, vision images and calculation of offsets are executed in parallel with robot motion. “Synchrovision” provides instantaneous solutions to the part’s 3D location thereby allowing the robot to directly pick up the part without loss if application cycle time.
